To complete our program, students must participate in “Leading Self-Promotion Course” and “Outreach Exercises.” We believe that the ability to engage society in dialogs regarding the significance and appeal of research is essential for all scientists and engineers. As part of the “Leading Self-Promotion Course,” students also have to attend courses by the “Communication in Science & Technology Education & Research Program” (CoSTEP), an institution for promotions of higher education at the university and has been engaging in education for science and technology communication for the last 10 years. Students then need to apply the science event named the “Outreach Exercises” in the next year, using the knowledge with the omnibus lectures by various instructors conducted by the CoSTEP.
