Studying English in New Zealand has opened my eyes to foreign cultures

I was able to visit an English-language school at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, through a language training program at this university from March 17–28, 2014. It was the first time I traveled beyond Japan’s neighboring countries. Classes were divided into five levels, and I was placed into the third level class on the first day. The classes substantially emphasized on communication and provided plenty of opportunity for close interaction with other students. There were people from many different countries such as Thailand and Columbia, so naturally it was the best environment for learning English. My host family was very hospitable. This trip has helped me get in touch with foreign cultures and has widened my horizon on the whole.
