I traveled to the east coast of the USA in March 2014. During this trip, I visited the National Cancer Institute and National Institute of Child Health and Human Development at the National Institute of Health (NIH), as well as Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). It was a very fulfilling journey as I was allowed access to some of the most leading research in the world. The opportunity to present my own research in English at NIH was another priceless experience for me. At MSKCC, one of the world’s largest cancer specialist hospitals, I even participated in a practical discussion about histological staining in breast cancer while using a specimen. This trip to the US has truly broadened my overseas network as I was also introduced to a number of laboratories that were not on my original itinerary.
