Holding Leading Mini-Discourse Sessions

Holding Leading Mini-Discourse Sessions

In this program, we aim to devise a new type of Doctorate Degree Program that attaches importance to interdisciplinary work. As the participating program students work toward this and as it is not just instructors who manage the program, we hold regular roundtable conferences with program students and program instructors who are assigned as head teachers (mentors). In these meetings, called “Leading Mini-Discourse Sessions,” program students and mentors candidly exchange views in small groups on an equal footing. With the aim of nurturing a program that exhibits high effectiveness without imposing excessive burdens, issues that become clear in the Leading Mini-Discourse Sessions are fed back to the steering committee as anonymous information.
