From August 16th to 24th, Mr. Choina Gen, a first-year master's student at the Graduate School of Public Policy, and Youen Yao, a third-year doctoral student at Environmental Science completed an internship (employment) at the City Promotion Division of Furano City. experience). The theme given was the enhancement of the migration promotion information site ``Living Furano''. The two of them discussed what kind of ideas would be needed so that citizens who visited the site could understand the city's childcare and education measures at a glance, and put together a proposal.

張さんは移住者の視点に立つことを大事にしたそうです。「富良野市は美しい自然環境、安心できる社会環境、質の高い教育資源、多彩な伝統文化が融合し、アウトドア体験を満喫できるまちです。子育て世代にとって活力と魅力的な場所を提供します、というメッセージを用意しました。」さらに「インターシップの期間に直面した課題は主に二つありました。一つ目は情報の定期的な更新です。サイト内の情報を最新に保つため、定期的な更新プロセスが必要です。新たな支援施策やインセンティブが追加された時も、迅速に反映できる仕組みが必要です。二つ目は利用者からのフィードバックを収集し、利用者の満足度や改善要望を集めることです。この二つの課題を整理して、サイトの質を向上させる改善策を検討しました。今後の市の施策に生かしてもらえたら嬉しいです。」

Ms. Yao said, ``Through this internship, I was able to gain a deep understanding of child-rearing support.This experience is not related to my field of study. It was a valuable opportunity for me to take it personally.'' He also said, ``I was able to improve my skills in creating web content and the importance of contributing to the community.'' I am grateful to the people of Furano City for providing me with this opportunity. I'm doing it.'' I left my impressions.

Although both of them are international students from China, they seem to have been able to achieve great results in a short period of time by valuing communication with Furano City staff.
