オラクルの紹介
オラクルコーポレーション（以下オラクル）は、ハードウェア、ソフトウェア（売上世界第２位）、クラウドサービス等を扱うIT総合会社です。今日使っているZoomにもオラクルのテクノロジーが使われていますし、F1のレーシングホンダがオラクルのシステムを使ってレース戦略を立てたりしています。皆さんが気づかないところで、社会インフラとして使われている会社です。

Since our founding in 1977, we have been working on our business with a focus on how to use data, exactly DX (Digital Transformation). In addition to providing technology, we aim to think about the problems in the world and combine our own knowledge and know-how with the power of others to make the world a better place.

DXとは変革
DXのキーワードは「変革」です。変革には「創造性」と「実行」を掛け合わせることが必要と言われています。「創造性」とは問題発見能力（デザイン力）といって、まさにどのように課題を見つけるかです。「実行」とは問題解決能力であり私たちの得意分野です。一方、理論物理学者のアルベルト・アインシュタインは、「問題解決のために1時間使えるとしたら、55分を問いのデザインに費やし、5分間を解決に使うだろう」という言葉を残しています。それだけ問いをデザインするのは難しいのです。

DX is a concept proposed by Professor Eric Stolterman of Umeå University, Sweden in 2004. It is about using digital technology to change people's lives for the better in every aspect. To that end, it is necessary not only for IT companies but also for co-creation with people from various fields to combine the knowledge and technology that each of them has to create new things.

DX for living in the VUCAera
We are rapidly switching to a digital society, and the world is changing faster than ever before. The concept of DX, which is constantly changing, is important because it is an unpredictable era called the VUCA ^* era.

日本政府も、これからの社会のあり方として、Society 5.0というビジョンを掲げています。「デジタル上のサイバー空間と実際の空間を融合して、新しい社会を作っていく」これがSociety 5.0の考え方です。また、日本は超高齢化社会などの課題先進国であり、多くの社会課題解決と経済循環を両立させる必要があります。その実現に向けた先進的な場としてスマートシティという考え方が政府から示されています。　

^※VUCA（ブーカ）：Volatility（変動性）・Uncertainty（不確実性）・Complexity（複雑性）・Ambiguity（曖昧性）の頭文字を取った造語で、社会やビジネスにとって、未来の予測が難しくなる状況のこと。

DXhuman resources required in
As a person living in the present, you should become an expert in the digital society. Communication is important to bring together and connect various experiences and ideas. Currently, I think that I am increasing my specialization in the master's and doctoral courses. At the same time, connecting with people in different fields will lead to new realizations, and applying specialized knowledge may lead to solving social issues. In other words, DX human resources are people who try to connect beyond organizations and industries, and people who connect.

2021年度の北大DX教育プログラムの報告と2022年度の募集
2021年度の北大博士課程DX教育プログラムでは、富良野市が実際に抱えている課題に取り組み、「ふらのワインの売り上げ向上」と「ゴミのリサイクル率向上」の2つの課題に対して、4人ずつに分かれて解決策を提案してもらいました。ワークショップを通じて、課題の深堀り、情報の整理、解決につながりそうなデータ分析などのノウハウを我々から提供しました。

During the 2021 activities, there was a problem that necessary data could not be obtained from the viewpoint of personal information when analyzing repeaters purchasing Furano wine. However, we reviewed the available data and proceeded with the analysis by inferring from it. I reaffirmed the strength of the doctoral course in how to deal with when I hit a wall.

"Learning x Solving Local Issues" is not just a desktop analysis, but this program is to visit the site to confirm it, actually see it with your own eyes, and then make a final proposal. This year, we are planning a program to tackle issues from Furano City and other local governments. We plan to kick off around August and hold a final report meeting in February. I would like you to use what you have learned here in your daily research. It has also attracted a lot of attention from the media, and it is thought that it will be useful for students' future career development.

“Individual foreseeability” and “back-calculating ability from the future”
Finally, I would like to introduce Mr. Taro Kagami's book "Beyond Design Thinking". In this book, it is written that two powers are necessary for "creativity" to bring about innovation.

一つは「個人の見立てる力」。見立てる力とは、普通の人から見ると全く関連性がない二つのものの共通点を見つけ結びつける能力です。博士課程のみなさんのように、専門性を持っている方なら存分に発揮できる力です。もう一つは「未来からの逆算力」。これは現状から一歩、二歩先のことではなくて、あるべき姿から逆算して、今どのように変わらなければいけないかを考える力です。今回のプログラムの場合は、その自治体が最終的にどのような街になりたいかを意識して提案を行う必要があります。このプログラムに参加してこれら創造力を伸ばしてほしいと思います。
