Nakatomi: The beginning of "frontier pioneering power" is noticing slight discomfort and doubts in daily experiments and research. Generally speaking, it is only in the second year of the doctoral program that students can define the nature of their vague realizations and come up with solutions. I have become more specialized and confident than when I was a master's student, and my vision is opening up like the fog has cleared. It is a moment of “blooming” as a researcher. From there, it's time to make use of what you've learned about science and technology communication and increase your number of friends. The presence of colleagues with whom you can share the passion and excitement of research will strongly encourage you.
