高度な科学技術が生活に欠かせない社会において、研究者の力が求められる場は意外に増えてきている。世の中を変えたいと自社で研究活動を始めて間もない企業は、研究者のことをどうみているのだろうか。研究者のためのキャリアイベントであるキャリアディスカバリーフォーラムに参加した、北海道に拠点を置く環境大善株式会社の窪之内誠氏に話を聞いた。（レポート：株式会社リバネス）

北海道北見市出身 1976年生まれ。大学を卒業後、18年間ICT機器販売、販売責任者に携わり、2016年に環境大善に入社。代表取締役専務を経て2019年2月より現職。「土、水、空気研究所」所長を兼任。
地球の健康を探究する研究者を求めて
設立15年目を迎える環境大善株式会社は牛の尿を微生物で分解することで生まれた善玉活性水が消臭効果や土壌改良効果を持つことを見出し、メカニズムの解明や用途拡大のための研究を進めている北海道の企業だ。2018年に共同研究先の研究者1名を初めて採用し、さらに2人目の採用を考えている。「土、水、空気と地球の健康を探究することに興味をもつあらゆる研究者が働けると考えている」という窪之内氏は、研究者や関連するアイデアとの出会いを求めて、キャリアディスカバリーフォーラムに参加した。
Enthusiasm is different from job hunting
Mr. Kubonouchi, who had not had much experience interacting with researchers, was nervous about what to talk about. Researchers interested in fermentation, soil, and animal husbandry visited our booth on that day. They realized that they were looking for the possibility of collaboration with "What kind of research can be done with Kankyo Daizen?" Participants ask questions and make suggestions about their own research themes with good activated water. Unlike job-hunting joint briefings, which tend to focus on questions about existing businesses and working environments, the Career Discovery Forum was a place where participants and companies could talk about the future they want to create through work and research.
Expand the possibilities of your own products
The most impressive was the "fasting" researcher. He talked about the intestinal environment after fasting and beneficial active water, and proposed the development of healthy diets. I participated because I had no image of communicating with researchers, but I also learned that by sharing their vision, they transcend their fields and come up with research ideas. Mr. Kubonouchi himself also rediscovered the value of his company through the perspective of the participants. In the future, we will further deepen our discussions and work as colleagues in joint research to realize the future we aim for.
