グローバルリーダーに必要な5つの力　＃01 圧倒的専門力

北海道大学物質科学フロンティアを開拓するAmbitiousリーダー育成プログラムが追求する「圧倒的専門力」をさらに3つの力に分解すると、「深く掘り下げる力」「方向転換できる力」「つなげる力」になると考えています。「深く掘り下げる力」とは文字通り、皆さんが自分の研究分野を徹底的に追求していく専門性そのもの。修士ではなかなか味わえない研究の本格的な醍醐味やサイエンスの面白さを実感できる日々が始まります。二番目の「方向転換できる力」は、その研究の最先端に立って初めて見えてくる景色から生まれてきます。

Deep digging does not mean narrowing your field of view, but in order to move forward, turn your gaze once to another place and gain awareness that you could not have imagined yourself. For example, it may be an academic conference in a different field or a lecture meeting that interests you. If you can acquire different things there, you will expand from there to the "ability to connect" your own field of expertise and different things. The ability to accept new stimuli obtained outside the laboratory is only possible if you have the core of deep professional research. I hope that you will aim for further heights with both wings of confidence and stimulation.
